Higgs has always had a snaggle tooth in front that was almost impossible to get totally clean around and should have probably been pulled as soon as it came in. Apparently it was a much bigger problem than it looked. Now Mr. Gums is not very happy, except for the sudden switch to wet food.

oh, that's really weird. Joe just took Shoss and Tori in today and they need toothwork, too. Tori has gingivitis and tartar buildup, but Shoss has a little point of decay that needs to be taken care of... I'm kinda nervous about them going under anaesthesia, but dey needs clean teef.
Yeah, Higgs had nasty periodontal disease. Not that I was great at regularly brushing his teeth, but I didn't think I was doing that bad. Even without brushing they shouldn't be like this until more than twice his current age.
