Fourteener

Now I just need to get in shape and do a real one.

Nice work, Laura, and nice photos. While I was in New Hampshire, I hiked 4000 feet of gain over 4.2 miles to the top of Washington. Of course, the peak is only 6200 or so: I need to get out and try some higher elevation oxygen deprivation.

I'll have my photos up soon.

Yeah, luckily this fourteener only requires 2,000 feet elevation change, so the challenge is just lack of air. I was sure moving slow up the steeper bits, though, that's for sure. Next summer we want to do some harder ones, which means no winter slacking. Sinclair wants to do the traverse to Evans, the neighboring fourteener, one day, too, but I'm not really feeling that so much.

The good news is that Higgs is a really great scrambler and seems to enjoy it.
